Public Relations - Let's Get Involved

I understand everyone is very busy with their J.O.B but I feel now with the way the economy is we need to take more pride in what we do as an athletic trainer. It appears by what we see out there that this is just a job for us. More people need to get involved in this association and educate the public of what we actually do for the community. I feel it is sad to see the lack of people running for office, voting and even nominating people for awards. It just shows that we do not care. If we don't care then why should we want the community to care about athletic training. I think right now public relations is so important for us. Doesn't it anger you that a two year program like Physical Therapy Assistant has more pull in this state then a License Athletic Trainer. We need to get out there and educate the community.
